Easy Ways to Develop Your Baby’s Visual & Auditory Tracking Skills

In your baby’s first year, their brain undergoes incredible development—absorbing sights, sounds, and movements at a rapid pace. Two of the earliest and most important skills babies begin to develop are visual tracking and auditory tracking. These are the abilities to follow objects with their eyes and turn toward sounds, respectively.
Though these might seem like simple milestones, they are crucial building blocks for cognitive, language, motor, and social development. The best part? You can support these skills right at home, with easy, playful activities woven into everyday routines.
In this article, we’ll explore gentle and effective ways to nurture your baby’s tracking abilities. We’ll also explain why these skills matter, when they typically develop, and how to tell if your baby is on track.

Understanding Visual and Auditory Tracking
Visual tracking refers to your baby’s ability to follow moving objects with their eyes, while auditory tracking is the skill of locating and turning toward sounds. These abilities help your child interpret the world and form the foundation for more complex tasks like reading, speaking, and navigating their surroundings.
As your baby grows, these tracking skills evolve naturally—but like all aspects of development, they benefit from intentional, gentle stimulation.
When Do Babies Start Tracking?
Tracking skills begin to emerge from birth and continue strengthening through the first year:
0–1 month: Brief attention to light and nearby faces.
2–3 months: Begins to follow slow-moving objects and turn toward familiar sounds.
4–6 months: Better eye coordination; turns head to locate voices and sounds more consistently.
6–12 months: Tracks faster-moving objects and starts responding to more complex sound cues, such as their name.
Every baby is different, so it's best to observe progress over time rather than comparing to fixed milestones.
Easy Activities to Boost Visual Tracking
1. Make the Most of Face Time
Hold your baby close—about 8 to 12 inches away—so they can see your face clearly. Smile, talk, and move slowly from side to side, allowing them to follow your facial expressions. Your face is your baby’s favorite thing to look at!
2. Use Bold, High-Contrast Objects
In the first few months, your baby sees high-contrast patterns more clearly than pastel or detailed visuals. Use black-and-white toys, cards, or board books, and move them gently in your baby's line of sight. Slowly shift them horizontally and vertically to encourage eye movement.
Tip: Make your own high-contrast cards with black shapes on white paper.
3. Play with Mobiles and Hanging Toys
A simple mobile with contrasting colors can help stimulate your baby’s visual attention. Hang it slightly off-center so your baby must move their eyes (or head) to follow the motion. Choose mobiles that move slowly or include gentle sound to add an auditory element.
4. Engage During Tummy Time
Tummy time isn’t just great for neck strength—it’s also a chance to encourage visual tracking. Place an interesting toy in front of your baby and slowly move it to either side. This encourages them to lift their head and follow the movement with their eyes.
5. Introduce Mirror Play
Place a shatterproof mirror near your baby during tummy time or while lying down. Babies are fascinated by their own reflection, and watching movement in the mirror supports focus and eye coordination.
6. Slow Object Movement
Hold a small toy or object about 10 inches from your baby’s face. Move it slowly in different directions. Give them time to lock onto the object and follow it. This simple game helps your baby develop smooth pursuit movements in their eyes.
Simple Activities for Auditory Tracking
1. Talk, Sing, and Narrate
Your voice is powerful. Speak softly to your baby, sing lullabies, or hum tunes while moving slowly from one side to another. This helps your baby learn to recognize and locate familiar voices.
Bonus: Use a gentle sing-song tone—babies are especially responsive to melodic patterns.
2. Try Sound Cues with Rattles
Use soft rattles or sound-making toys just out of your baby's visual range. Shake the rattle gently on one side, pause, and observe if they turn toward the sound. Then repeat on the other side. This helps develop directional hearing.
3. Clap or Tap Gently
Sit in front of your baby and clap softly or tap a surface, then pause to see if your baby looks toward the sound. Repeat the same sound pattern from different sides.
4. Encourage Name Recognition
Frequently say your baby’s name and pause to see how they respond. Over time, they’ll begin associating the sound of their name with attention and presence—key steps in communication development.
5. Use Toys with Music or Sound Buttons
Toys that light up and produce sound simultaneously are great tools for combining visual and auditory tracking. Demonstrate how the toy works, and let your baby explore both senses at once.
6. Read Aloud
Choose simple storybooks with rhymes, repetition, or animal sounds. The more expressive you are, the more your baby will enjoy and engage. Try pausing to let them react to your voice or sound effects.
Activities that Combine Both Senses
Some activities are especially effective because they stimulate both vision and hearing at the same time. These multisensory experiences accelerate learning and increase retention.
Peek-a-boo with sound: Hide behind a blanket and say your baby’s name before revealing your face.
Sensory bottles: Fill clear bottles with small beads or rice. Shake them so your baby sees movement and hears the sound.
Musical movement toys: Slowly move a toy that makes gentle music—your baby will track with both their eyes and ears.
How to Know if Your Baby Is Progressing
Look for these signs that tracking skills are developing:
Eye contact becomes more sustained
Your baby begins to follow objects more smoothly
Turning toward familiar voices or sounds
Increased interaction with toys and movement
Smiling or cooing in response to your voice
If you're ever concerned about your baby's development, it’s best to speak with a pediatrician or developmental specialist.
Safety First
Always keep safety in mind when using toys or engaging in play:
Choose non-toxic, baby-safe materials
Never leave your baby unattended during tummy time
Keep sessions short and enjoyable—stop if your baby seems overstimulated
Why These Skills Matter Long-Term
Early development of visual and auditory tracking supports:
Attention span
Language and speech development
Hand-eye coordination
Cognitive processing
Social engagement
These foundational abilities play a significant role in how your child interacts with the world and learns in future years. Nurturing them from infancy sets the stage for confident, curious growth.
Conclusion
Developing your baby's visual and auditory tracking skills doesn’t require expensive tools or complicated programs. With just a few minutes each day, your love, voice, and playful interaction can make all the difference.
By incorporating face-to-face play, gentle sound cues, mirror time, and story sessions into your baby’s daily routine, you’re helping them develop essential life skills in the most natural and nurturing way.

FAQs
1. When should I start tracking activities with my baby?
You can begin from day one. Newborns can see high-contrast objects and respond to familiar voices almost immediately.
2. What are signs that my baby’s tracking skills are developing?
Your baby will begin to maintain eye contact, follow moving objects, turn toward your voice, and engage with toys or faces by 2–3 months.
3. What if my baby isn’t tracking yet?
It’s normal for babies to develop at their own pace. If you're concerned by 3–4 months, consult your pediatrician for further evaluation.
4. Do I need special toys for this?
Not at all. Your voice, face, and simple household items are often the best tools for early stimulation.
5. How long should I practice these skills each day?
Just a few short sessions a day during playtime, diaper changes, or feeding are sufficient. It’s more about consistency than duration.
6. Can overstimulation be harmful?
Yes. Watch your baby’s signals—if they seem fussy or disinterested, take a break. A calm, happy baby is more receptive to learning.

I'm really scared. Somebody please help me. I don't know what's going on, I don't know if it's in my brain, my head/neck, or somwhere else in my body.
Recap so people can help me:
Go to dentist nov 12 for fillings (upper teeth), after one particular anesthetic shot (front teeth) start to feel extremely weird
start to have crazy cognitive and physical symptoms which are too many to list. Some include:
facial pain, mostly from the cheeks up, throbbing pain in eyes, nose, and roof of mouth
inability to recognize other people's faces from cheeks up (only chin looks familiar)
eyes no longer in sync, left eye seems to move more slowly and not track things right
extremely vivid almost-hallucinations. I can tell they aren't real and that they're in my head, but they're right on the verge
almost-hallucinations are visual, auditory, smell and emotion. it's sort of like a mix with flashes of a bunch of different memories and thoughts at once, it's not coherent. many different smells, images, etc. flashing through my perception too fast to keep track of. kind of like a soup of different stuff. very scary and distracting
feels like every time I have a thought or memory, it comes up correctly in my mind at first, then it mixes into the soup and I can't get it back. it just becomes part of the soup
the imagery and so on often feels like it is "coming in from the sides", like coming in from both sides of my body/FOV/etc. it's happening all the time but when it gets really intense and starts to get "closer to the middle" I start burping continuously and uncontrollably. almost feels like I'm swallowing air and burping it back up again, but it's totally outside my control. sometimes I'm burping back to back for hours
when it gets REALLY bad it makes me throw up. sometimes just into my mouth and sometimes full on projectile vomit. would say this happens about every two or three days and the frequency has been increasing.
inability to do the following correctly: sneeze, swallow, vomit, orgasm. all feel like the same weird issue. like they start but don't really finish. so e.g. when I vomit it's like the top part of my throat is not involved? it feels very weird but like the muscles are only actuating part of the way up, and it's a very odd sensation. same when I swallow, like only part of the swallowing motion happens and the food is hard to get down because of this.
my factual recall and grasp of factual information seems to be 100% fine, no delusional beliefs etc. Even though I can't visually recall my memories (because the soup of imagery gets in the way) I can easily factually recall what happened. But I can't visualize anything correctly, I just get these crazy visuals instead
feel like I am not sleeping properly. feel like when I "go to sleep" it's just more of the visuals ALL NIGHT and I don't get any rest. basically feel like I am in a half-asleep half-awake state all the time.
I've gotten an MRI, nothing abnormal. Got an EEG, it was slightly abnormal with temporal lobe "sharp waves" but no seizures. Went on seizure meds for 4 months and it had no effect on symptoms. Got another EEG when my symptoms were really acting up and EEG was normal, at that point doctor decided to take me off seizure meds since the didn't seem to be doing anything and symptoms didn't seem correlated with EEG. Seeing another neuro next week. Intuitively it feels like something is wrong in my face, throbbing pain is CONSTANT and has been resistant to all pain meds, and that maybe if it went away I could think straight. not sure though.
Feels like there is a "hole", it's hard to explain but it feels like there's this gaping hole in my mind's eye, that's blocking my from thinking correctly and causing all this shit. And I feel it on my body to, idk where but I can feel this "hole" too. Maybe some kind of fucked up nerve in my face or something? If anyone has any thoughts or could help me with any of this please let me know.

On Crowley, memory, and identity.
So full disclosure first, I am not someone who is particularly interested in having Crowley's angel name on screen - personally I rather like the idea of never having an answer to this question - but I also do think it's interesting and fun to speculate and we got quite a few hints at this throughout this season soooo
Obviously part of this is that we meet him. The angel that would become Crowley is the first person on screen this season. We confirm a lot about him here. He confirm that he is powerful enough to start the engine of the universe. We confirm that he can control gravity and time and space and light. We confirm that he is the being that says let there be light before the beginning. We also confirm that he consulted with the concept designer of the universe and that he's very comfortable with the idea of questioning authority. We are also given Aziraphale's anxiety as a contrast to this and as proof that that is not a universal trait for early angels.
Now, we have always had evidence that Crowley is powerful. He's done some things that seem impossibly big. He stops time very casually and seemingly without effort - even at the end of season 1 it doesn't even seem to give us the same strain on him that holding the Bentley together does. This is a thing that we only ever see Crowley do and notably a thing that you would think other beings would mess with to their advantage if it was possible. Which means they either literally can't or that it never occurred to them that they could. Or as is becoming increasingly clear: perhaps it's a bit of both.
But that's not the only implication of power we get in season 1 either. We get Crowley seemingly in tune with the universe in a way many angels and demons aren't. Which, makes some sense if he helped make it. This manifests in all sorts of ways. He's constantly aware of Aziraphale's presence. He can smell when the world state changes like when Adam names Dog. He holds the Bentley together through utter destruction. He notices that there are different books in the bookshop - something I always assumed was meant to convey he was familiar with the shop's contents but after learning he didn't even know Jane Austen was a writer I wonder if it's actually more to do with him being in tune with reality. He also can apparently quite literally feel when there are eyes on them.
We're given even more of all these things this season in some really interesting ways. Crowley literally tests the air to check if a miracle has happened - another thing that we don't see anyone else do despite Heaven literally assigning someone to Aziraphale to check for a specific miracle. This particular beat is also something we are shown twice this season. Both here and in 1941, when Furfur uses the miracle blocker on Aziraphale. Here Crowley tests his miracles and despite getting nothing of the sort when Aziraphale tries a miracle literally the beat before this, we are given both a visual and an auditory effect. It ripples out with a watery sound effect from Crowley's finger. It's like he's prodding at reality.
There's also several instances involving the recognition or lack thereof of angels and demons. Crowley feels that the demon army is arriving before it does. Neither side seems to be able to track Gabriel - one of the most powerful beings in existence - at all once he leaves Heaven. We also see countless angels fail to notice Crowley himself both as Bildad the Shuhite performing literal miracles right in front of them. And this happens again as he prances about Heaven after Muriel. Aziraphale can't tell Shax is a demon despite Crowley recognizing she's manifested behind him nearly as soon as he answers the phone. Aziraphale can't even recognize that he himself is still an angel at the end of the Job story.
He also. Quite literally. Brings someone back from the dead???? Like waves a hand casually on the street and reconstitutes Mr. Brown like he'd never been dead at all. Mr. Brown returns with no memory of what happened to him holding a newspaper that seems to have literal bite chunks coming out of it. It's not framed as a huge miracle or anything strenuous either - just a casual snap.
And that's not even getting into the parallels with Gabriel. First of all. We get the color purple. It's purple when Aziraphale and angel that would become Crowley start the engine of the quadrants of the universe and it's purple when they miracle to hide Gabriel. This color is associated with power and, historically in the language of this show, with Gabriel himself. Them using it together twice speaks a lot to the power they have together.
But that's not the only symbolism historically tied to Gabriel that has found its way to Crowley this season either. Most flashy of all is the lightning. This is how we see Gabriel arrive on earth at the end of season one and it is something Crowley apparently just Does when he gets too mad to contain himself.
This alone wouldn't catch my attention except. Except the way Crowley reacts to Gabriel's memory problems is... interesting to say the least. He's angry and understandably so. Part of this is him being mad and protective of Aziraphale - he says as much himself to Jim directly. And yet, weirdly, it's the kind of mad that reminded me of something else.
This is the mad he tends to gets at his plants. Do it properly. Think hard. You can do better than that. Grow better. It's the kind of angry that's steeped in projection. It's he kind of angry that is undercut with the occasional weird undercurrent of understanding. And so much of his dialogue with Jim around this is framed like he does actually understand. Jim says it hurts and he says he knows. Jim starts talking about it feeling like being an empty house that still remembers where the furniture is and Crowley immediately latches onto this and understands ah it's looking at where the furniture isn't.
And there's a few other conversations that center around this issue that I find really interesting from a projection perspective. There's the conversation that happens when Crowley goes to have an alcohol fueled chat with Jim. He says "You're Jim now. Got everything just the way you wanted?" This doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him to be addressing Gabriel with. As far as he knows all Gabriel would want was the end of the world.
And then there's the particular way he asks Jim to eliminate himself in this scene. Climb out the window. In other words, have a fall. Something he pretty immediately retracts and clearly feels guilty about no matter how much he hates Gabriel.
And then there's the first conversation he gets to have after learning about Gabriel. Crowley opens this conversation, thinking out loud. He's staring out, not talking to Az yet and the very first thing out of his mouth is, of all things: "He's going to be okay." A weird start for a statement about Gabriel in itself but then Crowley goes and adds what at it's core is his own trauma narrative to the end with, "We can just take him somewhere and leave him there."
Now the real fun bit: Crowley also has memory issues that are out very prominently on display even as far back as season 1.
He has inconsistent memories of his Fall. The answers he gives us to why he Fell change slightly - even when he's alone with himself. He doesn't seem to understand why exactly he Fell even though he clearly has some vague idea of the pieces in play. I always thought to some degree that this was just a trauma response, but season 2 drew even more attention to this and now that we know that memory alteration is how Heaven handles powerful angels I can't help but to wonder if there's more in play here.
Crowley can't remember Furfur - who he apparently literally fought next to during the war in Heaven. Crowley can't remember building a nebula with Saraqael. Crowley doesn't remember why they decided gravity was a good idea.
But he does remember bits and pieces here and there. He remembers doing some of the starmaking. He remembers how to access clearance locked files. He's missing pieces and also seems to have an understanding that Gabriel's memories ARE in there. Almost like he's done this work on himself before.
This narrative itself is also far more concerned with the angel Crowley was this time around. It teases his rank a few different times. Most notably is him having access the files only available to Dominions and above.
Now angel hierarchy is a bit of a messy area depending on what sources you're using but given Good Omens tendencies in the past we can assume that this leaves us five ranks. Dominion, Throne, Cherub, Seraph, and Archangel.
I might break down why I think Dominion, Throne, and Cherub feel kind of odd to me later if there's interest - now available here - in that but given the current length of this meta I just want to focus on that last one for now.
Crowley was an Archangel is far from a new theory and I've honestly historically had some fairly mixed feelings about it. But the parallels between Jim and Crowley lend some interesting connective tissue to a lot of those theories. And. There's also some interesting camera work and script writing tied to Crowley and that term outside of the scenes about Gabriel's memories specifically.
Firstly, during Crowley's chat with Beelzebub he says it's a big universe with plenty of places for an archangel to hide. Like Alpha Centauri perhaps?
Then we get Aziraphale and Crowley both presenting Hell and Heaven respectively the idea that it could have been them that did the archangel class miracle. Aziraphale gets scoffed at and yet. Shax is the one who says the miracle was archangel level and Crowley's response is "how do you know I didn't do it?"
Then later as she's prowling about the shop we get this interesting shot of Crowley in the doorframe and Jim in the background. Crowley grins and offers to let Shax look in and see if she can see any archangels in there while he's framed dead center and Jim himself is blurry in the back of the frame.
And most fascinating in my opinion is this shot that happens when Crowley and Muriel are accessing the classified files. Nearly every shot in this sequence is group shots or shots of Gabriel. The camera is focused in the plot and the way the archangels function as a group and on Gabriel himself. But we get one single shot in this entire sequence of Crowley by himself and it is immediately following Gabriel saying "I am the only first order archangel in the room - or, well, the universe."
And then in the end. We get the Metatron who goes out of his way to avoid using Crowley's name. He calls him demon (and insists correctly that Crowley would recognize him even when Michael doesn't) or refers to him as Aziraphale's friend. He only ever uses that name when trying to use him as a bribe for Aziraphale. That combined with the dark look he gives Crowley implies a familiarity that only the Metatron has with him.
So who is he then? There's plenty of old meta out there about why certain archangels fit or don't and I won't reiterate them here. They're interesting and definitely worth poking around at and very fun to read! Personally I'm not as interested in naming the someone he used to be as I am in examining the places that ghost of this angel has started to poke through the narrative so I'll end this here. It's spiralled into something far longer than I ever meant it to be anyway.

buncha ghost designs i whipped up for a new au i’m working on (yes another one this is how i have fun)
it’s a ghost hunters au! Reginald and Phoenix both work at the Ghost Hunter Agency in a world where ghosts are like. a pretty common and established problem and they have to go in and investigate them Phasmophobia style! more details about them and the ghosts under the cut :3
cw for usual ghost/true crime stuff (gruesome murders/deaths and all that)
ok i have a whole story behind how these guys are all connected and why Reginald and Phoenix are visiting them all (basically Doctor Zor is a ghost so vengeful that they became a serial killer from the afterlife and they’re the victims that also became vengeful ghosts) but let’s focus on them individually first! they’re all from different eras and died in a variety of ways. in the actual story, most of them are invisible 90% of the time, so some of these designs are just for fun!
starting from the top left, the Fabricator was a fashion designer and one of Zor’s oldest recorded victims, dying around the 1910s. got shot by her own bear archer, L. she’s one of the most frightening ghosts to deal with because she’s fully aware of her surroundings and isn’t lashing out from confusion/fear, she just really loves scaring people to death. she haunts her old workshop and enjoys chasing people around with pins and scissors and setting up elaborate traps for them
below her is John Juniper, a 1940s starlet who was killed in a theater via electrical “accident” (Zor wrecked the wires) and happily haunted said theater for seventy years before Plot came along and riled him, prompting the GHA (Ghost Hunter Agency) to try and figure out why he was suddenly acting up. he’s normally fairly chill, but flies into a frenzy if you touch his masks or do classic bad luck theater things (whistling on stage, saying Macbeth, etc). he’s really scary when he’s hunting; dropping stage lights, making mirrors shatter, causing visual and auditory hallucinations, making spotlights go crazy, etc. Phoenix found this out the hard way lol
to his right is Commander Solaris, who died working on a project for the Space Race in the late 50s. the radioactive materials she was working with exploded, and now she haunts the remains of her lab. she is TERRIFYING to get near and extremely radioactive; the surest way of tracking her movements being a geiger counter. she fritzes out any electrical equipment nearby, glows in the dark, and has odd effects on the human body (shortness of breath, adrenaline spikes, plus the radiation). she’s the ghost that got the closest to killing Phoenix and probably took a few years off their lifespan.
moving upwards, we have Caliente and Hivemind, who died exactly how you’d expect: Hivemind was allergic to bees and simply supremely confident in his ability to keep them pacified (too bad Zor riled them up) and Caliente died in a welding “accident” that burned his house down. they both died in the 70s.
then we have Ollie (<3), who starved to death in a lighthouse in the 80s and, driven to madness by Zor, eternally guards something important to them. although he’s the least murderous of the bunch, he has one of the most visually frightening power sets; going absolutely ballistic with the howling and wailing and chains rattling and huge dark shapes slapping their tentacles against the windows and making the air go cold and the lights crazy if you even THINK about going to the top floor. but once Phoenix gives him an otter pop and snaps him to the present day, he calms right down.
there are a couple other ghost characters who i didn’t draw (like Anna Ulanova, who died in a train crash and fills the valley with haunting violin music on clear nights, and Daniel Sans, who fell to a chemical accident) but those are all the main ones i think! um, other important stuff— Roxana is still very much alive and kicking (she’s the same age as Reginald) but ends up catching Zor’s attention and almost becomes their latest victim before Phoenix and Reggie step in. i’ll probably draw the living characters later when i’ve properly visualized how i want the GHA uniforms to look. and yes, Phoenix has thrown themselves onto a pentagram and shouted “rock n roll, buckaroo!” because they do not feel fear. oki enough rambling for now :P
i feel like there HAS to be some absolutely genius title for this since it’s literally about ghosts and it’s the game I Expect You To Die but… i can’t think of anything. currently taking suggestions lol
#ieytd#i expect you to die#ieytd au#i expect you to haunt au#the fabricator#john juniper#commander solaris#hivemind ieytd#charlie caliente#ollie ieytd#my art#you watch ONE buzzfeed unsolved clip#and THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS#i have to hold back from making an au every time i watch anything but this one i wasn’t able to resist#ngl i kinda cooked w these dang

Ticci Toby general dating headcanons
I like to think that his only actual relationship experience was with clockwork and they were together for at least a few years in my head, so jumping into a new relationship would be a little slow going at first.
Once he’s settled in and actually loves you though? He’s not going anywhere.
Absolutely touching you a LOT. Snugglebug through and through. He is the type of guy to act like you hit him when all you did was... roll over while you were asleep.
On top of that, he would tolerate you doing a lot of stuff with him (as in playing with his fingers, playful biting, messing with his feet, totally not projecting my goofy ass zoomies behavior lmao) and kinda likes to just watch you do that stuff.
His love languages are physical touch and quality time. He'll sit and watch whatever you want or watch you play games.
To bounce off of that, he sucks at video games. Yeah, he can play with BEN sometimes, but he just can NOT game to save his life. He enjoys watching you play.
He gets investing in whatever reality show you're watching. He won't even deny it and if you don't say anything about watching it he will bring it up.
As he's gotten older and lived under Slenderman's thumb longer, he's become a lot more guarded. It takes a bit, but he actually is a goofy and sweet guy when he cares about you. His sense of humor is dark and you gotta have one too, but it's actual dark humor, not just super edgy.
If you're worried about how he's surviving with CIPA, don't worry. His mom made sure he could take care of himself, even if he doesn't remember her anymore, (I headcanon that Connie was a Boy Mom, but all of my ideas for what his childhood was like are for another post if anyone asks for it.) and he's very good at checking himself for injuries and keeping track of the weather with apps and asking others about it. Seriously, the weather app is his best friend. Also being a proxy does have certain physical benefits, such as heightened immune system, strength speed, and durability. It varies depending on the proxy, but Toby isn't a chump. He can handle a little heat and a little cold (less heat though, as I believe he just has a higher body temp than average and needs to account for it).
Ya'll's relationship isn't all sunshine and rainbows though, as he does have a lot of issues and he knows he's a lot to take on as a partner.
I personally headcanon him as having BPD and being misdiagnosed as bipolar, so I'm basing some of my points around it on that.
Arguments can be... intense. He will never lay a hand on you, but yelling is a common thing in heated arguments.
It'll take someone with a lot of patience and a strong backbone to help him work towards more healthy ways of resolving conflict. He'll also need reassurance that you do still love him and that you aren't going anywhere.
His schizophrenia isn't as big of a hurdle as you may think. Slenderman has his brain wired to be aware that he's hallucinating, but it won't actually get rid of them. He's gotten used to a lot of them, but he does have a few that still genuinely distress him (the most common examples being visual & auditory hallucinations of his dead sister or auditory hallucinations of his mother's voice) and that put him on edge.
How you two met can also change how slow or fast the relationship goes. If you’re a proxy too, then 1) he’s known you for a while and 2) you’re both probably already familiar with each other and get along well. If you’re not a proxy, then he does have his guard up a lot more and it’ll take a while for those walls to come down fully. Plus, he’s gotta figure out a way to break it to you that his boss is actually a supernatural entity that forces him to kill people.
If you’re both proxies
Like I said before, you both already get along well, so it really was just a matter of you or him figuring out if you want to see where this leads and asking the other out. While being a proxy speeds things up a little, it isn't by a whole lot.
I’m gonna say that the Slendermansion does exist, but it’s not exactly a fun place. Yeah, you get food and housing there, but you also have to deal with everyone else, and the majority of them aren't exactly the nicest to each other. More like coworkers in a toxic work environment forced to live together than anything else.
Toby moved out of the mansion in his mid-20s because he was having daily problems with some of the other proxies (Jeff mainly because that man definitely pokes fun at Toby and it gets on his nerves). He has a little cabin that is still within the confines of Slender’s forest, just further out than the mansion is.
Often invites you back to his cabin to hang out after missions or just whenever you see each other.
He has better service and, by the magic of "Slenderman is a supernatural entity", has electricity. He definitely has a TV he may or may not have stolen that you guys watch stuff on. It’s usually DVDs, but sometimes he catches a show or two and you guys watch that.
Since you’re a proxy, he’s not as concerned about you getting hurt during missions. Slenderman does often keep you two on separate missions and with different proxies to keep you both focused, but other than that it doesn't really care that you two are together.
All in all, you're really each other's escapes from everyone else. Something to look forward to and melt into at the end of a hard day.
If you are not a proxy
Honestly, he either met you while making a supply run and kept bumping into you, or you were somehow involved with a target.
I think supply run would be the most likely scenario, as he is a creature of habit and frequents the same places if he can. (Fun fact: I've been slowly writing a fic where he meets someone on Tinder because he's lonely and he accidentally starts caring)
You'd have to make the first move, and even then he probably doesn't think you actually like him unless you spell it out right in his face.
Super awkward at first, but I think his date being super passionate about something would make him more comfortable. Doesn't have to be true crime or anything gory (really, true crime would probably have him sweating if he could sweat), but having that genuine emotion shared just helps him settle in and actually talk more.
Absolutely believes you're the best person in the world to ask about your interest. If one of the other proxies has a question about it, he just says "gimme a sec" and calls you for the answer.
He doesn't really have any hobbies of his own, so you sharing yours is sweet to him, even if he may never pick the hobby up.
When you ask about his work, he says that he just works on a private property doing whatever his boss needs him too. Once the relationship starts getting serious he'll start to think about how to explain to you how complicated his situation is, but for the moment he's content to just be with you.
You become his escape from the cruel and dark world he has lived in since he was 17, but you will never truly know just how grateful he is that you took a chance to be with him and he never wants you to leave him.

Academic tips that work for me

Hello girlies! This is a post that I have been delaying for like 2 weeks, but now it's time or me to post it. In this blog I will give you all the things I do to keep myself getting high grades and maintain the "intelligent" persona I have worked for since I started studying my college career and fortunately others see me this way now.
I do not study hevy or know a lot about studying methods, I am more into "smart work > hard work" kind of thing
My personal tips
This are my tips being an auditory person focused on being effortless
Understand your learning style: Are you visual? Auditory? Or kinesthetic? By knowing this you can apply studying methods that are efficient for you.
Pay attention to your classes!: I think the main reason I slay effortlessly my exams is because of this so I only need a quick study. You will be saving future time since your study sessions will be lighter because you will remember lots of the things.
Participate / Ask questions: It's easy, you will get points with your teachers as a great student, plus you will get your questions solved.
Put your on a place you can't see it so it doesn't distract you, for classes or when you need to study / get work done.
Study in a place when you feel comfortable, it can be at an cafe or at the library, even in your bedroom at a desk, what matters is that you feel comfortable and that you get the feel of "this is a place where I can study / do my assignments" and not feel lazy or uncomfortable by "x or y" reason. As a plus, keep your space clean and only with the necessary at sight.
Use music that doesn't distract you and you vibe with: Listen to music that doesn't have lyrics, but that's a basic by now. What I recommend you is to listen to music that you just vibe with to get your desired mood and motivation. In my case, I listen to videogame soundtracks since it makes me feel relaxed or to classical music because I fee like "that business girly", either way music helps me concentrate.
Romanticize your studies: This can mean different things to all of you reading this post, I am talking about making your academic journey fun and pleasing rather than streesing! Some ideas are having cute stationery, take cute notes, act like one of your fav academic characters, have study playlists, drinking coffee, go to the library or to cafes, dress cute for school, read, light candles, watch "study with me" videos and study vlogs, create a pinterest board, stablish academic goals, etc.
Do your homework when you have free time at school / college or do it as a first thing after your schedule, this will help you save time. Think about it, if you do it while having free time at school / college you don't need to do it at home. And if you need to do it at home, if done as the first thing, you will either way get so much free time and can focus on other tasks or activities freely.
Be organized: Have a bullet journal or use an app to keep track of your subjects and assignments. By this you will remember and keep in sight upcoming deadlines and events.
Take care of your academic relationships: I make sure that the people inside my circle of friends are girls (mainly, but boys too) who I feel comfortable, have fun with but also are similar to me in the sense that they take seriously her studies and are good teammates. Outside of them I also focus on other potential classmates that are intelligent and have similar values. There is no need to bother on the ones who don't attend classes, are irresponsable and don't even know what are they doing in the course.
Take care of yourself: Ask yourself? Will it be worth it while not sleeping enough, having a poor diet and exercise? By not letting yourself rest or have fun from time to time? By not practicing self-care? By not practicing any hobby or taking the time for your interests ? Please take care of yourself, girl, this is the lowest part of the pyramid. The reason to care is not only your wellbeing, but also because having a poor lifestyle can have bad effects for you that also affect your performance, and we won't like that.
Now go and slay your academic year / course! 𑄽𑄺ྀ

Okay that's actually really hot. How would one do such training, hypothetically?
It's actually dead simple.
1. Only masturbate every other day
2. Reduce stimulation as you reduce how long you cum
3. Keep track of times.
Step 2 is really the only one with any complexity.
Basically start masturbating with the thought process of cumming as soon as you feel like it. And you kinda just keep doing that every other day only once each day.
That will slowly get you accustomed to cumming faster. Once you're around your goal reduce stimulation. Either with more lube, a lighter grip or slower strokes.
Keep doing this until you're back at your goal and reduce more, once you've done those three reduce how many fingers you use, eventually getting to just a single finger (this is called the one finger method btw).
Once you're back at your time using one finger with lube it's recommended to reduce visual or auditory stimulation ie masturbating to censored porn or clothed people.
Some people eventually start using lidocaine cream which is a numbing agent.
That's the one finger method. The other thing you can do is clench training. It's pretty simple just clench your cock as hard as you can and release. Doing this multiple time stimulates the muscles that are used while cumming and with enough training you can even cum just from clench training. I find that clench training works best in chastity and with a auditory trigger so start clench training whenever you hear a clicker.
Ps r/prematurefetish has much more details about ofm

Crashout Virus
CW: hypnosis, corruption
It started out as a curiosity. Since almost anyone can be hypnotized, what if someone developed a single really efficient and effective induction method that could be delivered digitally.
This turned out to be the most challenging part. It needed both visual and auditory cues, both to increase potency, and to ensure it could reach a wider range of people. It needed to be fairly rapid in order to maintain the focus of the most people. Finally, it needed a level of intensity where it would actually prove useful. Rapid instructions often needed deepeners applied immediately to ensure a stable trance.
Over 100 iterations later, I had a video file only 30 seconds long, capable of keeping 93% of people in trance for at least a minute after viewing, barring outside interference. I called it Crashout.
I was proud of my creation, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. I showed it off to a few friends into hypnosis. I watched one individual view the file, drop, drool, then come back up and immediately show it to a couple of their hypno friends.
That's what inspired the virus. I'm not sure why I decided to challenge myself to see how far it could spread.
Having played Plague Inc, I knew the viruses that spread the furthest had 3 specific features
1. Highly infectious - already done
2. Easily spread - A suggestion added in after the induction to share the video after viewing ensured people would want to spread it. Having the video posted to a hidden YouTube page would be easily spread, and allow me to track views, with an embedded command to click like so I can track unique views as well.
3. Subtle - this was a little challenging. I made sure to include a suggestion to forget the video, but it took a couple iterations to ensure people wouldn't repeatedly view the video every time they saw the message.
Test run was much more successful than I anticipated. I launched it to a group of 5 and set the time limit to 24 hours. I was expecting 1,000 unique views would qualify as a success. When I saw the numbers approaching 1 million, I got a little carried away.
I rewrote the embedded suggestions, encouraging the viewer to watch the file once per day. After all, repetition is the secret to ensuring strong suggestions. At first, that's all I did. I went live and waited a week. The video was limited to English speakers, so hitting more than 200 million unique views after a week was what made me realize how powerful Crashout was.
I modified the file the next day. Nothing significant, a small suggestion. Be kinder. I barely noticed the difference at first. By the third day however, people around me were much more polite, almost eerily so.
I switched the suggestion to a much more reasonable "be kind" to stop any sort of exponential growth.
I think I was pissed off about some work drama when I gave in and got selfish. Adding in images of me at the subliminal level didn't impact the efficacy of the file. The suggestion "you really like mystermastere. Be good to him," proved to be very successful. I wasn't thinking anything other than friendship. I hadn't considered how some people would interpret the suggestion.
I figured out what was going on the second time someone propositioned me that day. I wish I could say I corrected my mistake. I'm just not a good enough person, I guess. But it's ok. A lot of people are seeing things my way these days.

Understanding how your brain works to better utilize it in witchcraft, spirituality or occultism
I apologize if this post is really long lol
The biggest challenge I run in to when trying to explain my “mystical” experiences with my deities and spirits is in accurately portraying the “abstractness” of the interaction. We all have a special concoction of brain soup going on in our heads. While one brain may communicate with itself very auditorily, as in, in sounds and voices, other brains may be more predisposed to imagery. The goal of some forms of occultism is conditioning both the subconscious and conscious brain into adapting into different forms of “thought”, communication with oneself.
Think about it this way, some people have an inner monologue, that is an actual audible “voice” that speaks to them, narrates written text, etc. This inner voice may or may not be omnipresent, it may or may not resemble your voice. It may change.
Likewise some people don’t think in sounds at all, their brain is more visual and produces images, videos, movie like sequences that you may or may not be able to mentally interact with. If you have aphantasia, you will not be able to do this.
If you can identify and understand how your brain works, how the hardware and program you are operating on functions, you can understand how to better use it to communicate with deities or to preform other methods of magic.
So here are some easy ways to get an idea of how your brain works in regards to communicating thoughts and information. If some of these things don’t make a lick of sense to you, you’ll know that it isn’t your jive and you’ll probably have more difficulty learning magical practices that utilize that function.
For Visual Imagery we’re going to be using the letter A - Visual imagery describes thoughts that are communicated through visual senses. This means any kind of imagery, including simple colors and shapes.
For audible/ sound based thought we are going to be using the letter B- Audible thoughts describe ideas that are communicated through auditory senses. This includes music, narration, and sounds of any kind.
For texture/sensation based thought we are going to be using the letter C- Texture and sensation based thoughts are ideas that activate the “feeling” part of the brain. These can be both pleasant or uncomfortable.
For transcribed thought we are going to be using the letter D- Transcribed thoughts are ideas which are communicated through written text, literal letters and sentences, or symbols, as if you were watching a movie with subtitles.
For “invisible” thoughts we are going to be using the letter E- Invisible thoughts are ideas that are almost instantly understood through the subconscious. They do not take time to process and usually go unnoticed. These are usually common sense observations. The part of your brain that processes “person” when you see a person, and “dog” when you see a dog. These thoughts are your most prevalent and least observed.
For memory based thoughts we are going to be using the letter F- Memory based thoughts are ideas that are conjured using information from passed experiences, needing no new stimuli or information to be formed. These thoughts can also include experiences that occurred in dreams. Common sense repetitive norms influence these thoughts.
Keep track of your points.
1. You probably already know the apple thing.
Can you picture an apple? what color is it? can you rotate it? which way is it rotating? clockwise or counterclockwise? upside down? does it have a stem? does the stem have a leaf on it? Where is the apple?
If you can easily picture and manipulate the apple, you have the capacity to understand mental imagery. That does not necessarily mean your brain is predisposed to it, only that you have the hardware to process it. Not everyone has this hardware.
If your apple was spinning in a black room with no other objects or environment around it, you may be more dominant in another field of thought with visual imagery as a supportive addition. You get 1 point for A
If you pictured an apple you saw recently, you get one full point for F.
If your apple was already in a room, on a table, in front of your real world environment right now, or in some other environment that was not necessarily conjured through memory, your brain likely uses visual imagery as a predominant method of communication. You get 2 points for A.
If you were able to understand the concept of an apple and all of the manipulations, but didn’t necessarily “see” anything, you get one point for E.
2. As you’ve been reading this post, assuming that you are not reading aloud, have you been hearing a “voice” narrating the text?
Does that voice sound like your voice when you speak aloud? Do you take the time to pronounce every word as you read mentally? Do you pay attention to every letter individually, or do you look at the words as contained objects?
If you have an inner narrative voice that is activated by reading long passages of text, your brain is able to process visual imagery auditorily, especially when combined with will established symbols.
If that voice resembles your speaking voice, you are likely more dominant in another field of thought, using narration as a supportive sense. Your brain doesn’t naturally tend to generate sounds, it’s using the most easily commutable sound, your own voice, to deliver the information. This isn’t to say that you can’t conjure sounds, but rather that your brain doesn’t do so without “trying” to. You get a half point for B and a half points for D.
However if that voice does not usually resemble your own speaking voice, or changes often, your brain is likely more predisposed to communicating through sound senses. You get one full point for B and a half point for D.
If you have no inner narration or other sensory stimuli when reading this text, but still fully observe and understand the words, you get one full point for D.
If you have no inner narration when reading this text but imagine it’s contents like a slideshow or movie when given visual descriptions, you get one full point for A.
If you’ve observed the text with no other thoughts or ideas asides from what has been commanded of you by the quiz, you get one full point for E.
3. Oops I did it again…
“I played with your heart! Got lost in the game! Ooh baby baby!”
Okay, assuming you know the song “Oops I did it Again” by Brittany Spears, did you hear her voice singing the song when you read the passage? Did you hear your own voice singing it? Did you only read the text?
And if you did hear her voice, did you also hear the background instrumentals? Did you see Brittany in your head in her red jumpsuit? (assuming you watched the music video lol) If not in her red jump suit, did you at least get some kind of visual imagery of Brittany’s face?
If you heard Brittany’s voice singing with no background instrumental or other stimuli, you get one point for B.
If you heard your own voice singing the song with no other stimuli, you get a half point for B.
If you only read the passage, you get one point for D
If you heard Brittany’s voice and heard the background instrumentals, you get 2 points for B.
If you heard Brittany’s voice and heard the background instrumentals, and saw her to some capacity, although not dancing or moving, you get 2 points for B and an additional 1 point for A.
If you saw and heard all of that whilst seeing Brittany dancing in some way, as if you were actively watching a video, you get 2 points for B and an additional 2 points for A.
If you saw Brittany specifically in her red jumpsuit alongside the instrumentals and singing, as if you were watching the exact music video, or remembered some other portion of the music video, you get 2 points for B, 2 points for A, and an additional 1 point for F
and, if you immediately remembered the entire song of “oops I did it again” without any other stimuli, or without necessarily “hearing” anything, you get two full points for F.
Consider how your brain handles all of these rabid thoughts and quick communications to understand the contents of this post.
4. Imagine yourself sitting in your living room
Now imagine there’s an apple in your right hand and a cube of ice in your left hand. Sit for about 15 seconds. Now, mentally, stand from whatever surface you were sitting on, still holding the ice and apple, and lick the floor.
If you had difficulty imagining the living room, “feeling” the ice cube and apple, and maintaining those things while licking the floor, your brain is likely not dominant in texture based thoughts. Subtract a half point from C if you had any already.
If you could easily and vividly imagine the feeling of ice and an apple in your hands, but did not experience any discomfort, and had difficulty maintaining your living room or moving within that space, you only get one point for C.
If you could easily and vividly imagine the feeling of the ice and an apple in your hands, but did not experience any discomfort, and had an easy time maintaining your living room and moving within that space, you get one point for C and an additional one point for A.
If after 15 seconds you felt somewhat uncomfortable, vividly felt the ice melting in your hand, or felt disgusted by feeling the floor (carpet, tile, hard wood etc ) on your tongue, specifically at the thought of dust, dirt, or debris on your tongue, vividly feeling hair and lint get stuck to your tongue, you get 2 full points for C and an additional 2 points for A.
If you could easily imagine the space and do all of these things, but did not experience discomfort and/or saw yourself doing these things in the third person, you get one point for A.
If you could somewhat do these things but got tripped up or lost some of the immersion by thinking about things that aren’t actually in your living room, like imagining both the room and the apple at the same time, you get one full point for F.
5. If I were to hand you a page with 50 phone numbers on it, and told you to memorize all of the numbers in the list, would you…
1. Remember each phone number sequence individually to the best of your ability, starting from the first.
2. Remember the sounds of the numbers as you recited them aloud and recall the “song” or rap that you created with them
3. Recall the whole page of numbers like a photo and try to remember what was written on the entire page
4. Remember each number individually and remember how they sit in the sequence in relation to each other
5. Assign each number a color and then recall the number sequence by remembering how each color transitions into the next
6. Assign each number a letter (4 = F, 9= N), and create words or abbreviations to remember the full sequence of numbers.
7. You wouldn’t be able to remember them all.
If you chose option 1, you get a half point for F
If you chose option 2, you get one full point for B
If you chose option 3, you get one full point for A
If you chose option 4, you get one half point for F and an additional half point for D
If you chose option 5, you get 2 full points for A
If you chose option 6, you get one full point for D
If you chose option 7, you get 1 full point for F
6. Your goal is to think of absolutely nothing for the next 30 seconds. Close your eyes, and do not think about anything.
If after about 10 or so seconds, a song or tune started playing in the background of your mind, you get 2 points for B.
If after about 10 seconds, you had any conscious comment or thought, “how long has it been?” “am I doing this right?” “I wonder what…” “I hope that”… or you felt the need to mentally count to 30, you will subtract a half point from E if you had any already.
If after about 10 seconds, you visualized something against your will, anything at all, even though you were actively trying to think about nothing, you get 2 points for A.
If you started thinking about previous parts of this quiz that you have already completed, you get two points for F.
If you had inclinings of thoughts coming on but were able to quickly stifle them, you get one point for E.
If you were truly and honestly able to think about absolutely nothing for thirty whole seconds, you’re a winner baby, you get 2 full points for E.
7. You’re laying in bed procrastinating doing some task you really don’t want to do. But you eventually find your strength and finally decide to get out of bed. When motivating yourself, do you think:
1. “okay, I gotta get up now”
2. “come on, you gotta get up now”
3. “alright, we gotta get up now”
4. you do not have any inner dialogue about it, you simply know you have to get up and get up without consciously voicing it to yourself.
If you chose option 1, you do not lose or gain any points.
If you chose option 2, subtract 1 full point from E if you had any already.
If you chose option 3, subtract one half point from E if you had any already.
If you chose option 4, you get two points for E.
8. When you hear people speaking in real time, do you see their words transcribed in your head as if you were reading subtitles?
1. No, never
2. Sometimes but not always
3. Yes, all the time
If you chose option 1, remove a half point for D
If you chose option 2, you get one point for D
If you chose option 3, you get 2 points for D
9. Which best applies to you?
1. I remember things best when I write them down
2. I remember things best when I say them out loud repeatedly
3. I remember things best when I have some kind of visual reminder
4. I remember things best when I’m nervous about them
5. I don’t know how I remember things, I just do.
6. I remember things best when I’ve done them at least once before
If you chose option 1, you get one point for D
If you chose option 2, you get one point for B
If you chose option 3, you get one point for A
If you chose option 4, you get one point for C
If you chose option 5, you get one point for E
If you chose option 6, you get one point for F
10. You're waiting for something and you're bored, there's no one around you so you're not nervous to do whatever you want. How do you "stim", or occupy yourself?
I probably start singing a song to myself or repeating a funny phrase
I tap my fingers, feet, or teeth together. I do some kind of repetitive movement
I daydream or imagine scenarios in my head
I think about my day or something weird that happened recently
I'd have to have my phone or some kind of music to occupy me or I'd be upset
I'm able to wait for long periods of time without stimming or using distractions
If you chose option 1, you get 2 points for B
If you chose option 2, you get 2 points for C
If you chose option 3, you get 2 points for A
if you chose option 4, you get two points for F
If you chose option 5, subtract one point from E if you had any already
If you chose option 6, you get two points for E

By the way, when ghosts and Ancients appear, should there be any visual effects and sensations? Like Frostbite? A drop in temperature? Surfaces becoming crusted with ice?
For example, a headcanon on Danny who is a cosmic Ancient, an eldritch, a cryptid, a ghostly entity. How would all of this affect him showing up next to a human?
(By the way?)
Oooh 😯 Should there be? Probably not, it would take away the whole invisibility sneak thing they got going on.
But in charged situations? If they want to tip over a bit more to spooky? If it’s just spooky for humans but it’s actually more of a ghost greeting? Hell yeah, I’ll ascribe to it. It can even be tweaked with the emotion they want to enter with, like if they’re pissed or if they are trying to calm things down or if it’s relatively neutral. Coin toss/dice roll on whether it’s different for all, similar based on core type, same for type but application is different based on strength, or just boiled down to general ghostliness.
(Or is this all based off auras and if so, can ghosts physically manipulate theirs and what’s the effects of that? Or does Everyone have one and ghosts/effected people are the only ones who can see/manipulate theirs? Oof, idk. Too many thoughts in the head!)
For one we know/could squeeze into the idea naturally from the show: Clockwork. As Ancient of Time, Clockwork likely messes with time on arrival. It’s probably the least hassle for Clockwork if it’s pausing time than anything else, hence the medallions when the ghost goes to people to pull them out of the pause. (And easiest to keep track of/not melt peoples minds with.)
For Danny… If it’s not a drop in temp because of the whole ghostly/ice core phenomenon and assuming you don’t want two of the same with Frostbite… and you want to go cosmic/space… maybe there’s auditory/speaking issues, like gaps and suppression, or a slight feeling of breathlessness because space is a vacuum? (Isn’t space cold too? Could be an interesting bait and switch if people kept thinking Ice and he pulls up one day with the power of the sun and manipulation of space.) Or if Danny is made an Ancient of Space it could also be feeling an odd pressure, like if you’re temporarily feeling too big or small in your body. Or or! Feeling gravity more or less than what you should be at the time.
If not a space/cosmic thing and you’re going with Phantom being a spirit of Protection then I would have it add a layer of feelings/reactions (specifically not changing any other feelings or otherwise altering minds) based on where the human would fall on his scale of morals: too much on the bad side and you feel trepidation and apprehension, in the good side you may feel safety, courage, or whatever. (The human’s placement on the scale would not be a conscious thing and the deciding factor is more multifaceted as Phantom grows. So long as Phantom is strong and resolute in his morals, you could probably use the reactions to gauge other people.)
Now, Danny-as-human Danny? I’m a sucker for either he’s just Some Guy or Predator Instinct, but it’s not sudden or a big rush of adrenaline. It’s something uncanny for sure because you look at the guy and you don’t know what’s wrong because visually there’s nothing wrong, but the vibes are off. (😅 scary dog vibes but the dude is like a retriever or shepherd or something — scares off the creeps at college parties and he’s long since stopped questioning why he’s invited to the parties. If he’s aware of it, he’d be the guy that sits next to or walks by a girl and then reveals that she was being stalked by a creep but it looks like he’s gone now, so have a nice day/makes sure you are safe and aware)
Like a Big Cat: it’s a predator and can kill you easily and maybe without meaning to, but also… they’re big kitties and you see videos of humans booping their snoots, holding their murder mittens, petting them and whatever. Those zookeeper-class of folks who understand the risks and works with the animals instead of against them. Some people can’t shake off that prey instinct but others are there despite it.
Hit or Miss whether aliens/super powered folks will feel it (looking at the Justice League for crossover fans) for the Human-Danny, but I’d say it’s rare for anyone to be immune to Phantom Effects.
Hope this was to your satisfaction cause this tickled my brain nicely

I Bloom For You (Gojo Satoru x Reader) (Angst)
Your phone was always in your pocket. Satoru remembered that about you. It would stay in your pocket all day long, only coming out when you feel the vibrations of an oncoming call or message.
You rarely took photos, mostly because you would forget about the fact that your phone existed. Satoru wasn’t like that, though. He had his own camera that he would bring with him. It was filled with photographs of his friends, his students, of you .
Most photos of you were taken by others. Selfies on Shoko’s phone of you and her. Group photos taken by strangers. And Satoru’s favorite; photos where you were caught off-guard. Picturing you when you were in the middle of laughing or talking. Pictures of you where you were busy doing something, like cooking or sewing together an old toy.
Videos of you were extremely rare, but were mostly your own doing. You would record yourself trying out a new stove and send it to the group chat, asking everyone if it was normal for the stove to have mini-explosions every time you turned it on (it wasn’t). Or record yourself sewing, explaining how to certain stitches and what they’re good for.
Satoru wished he took videos of you. Voice recordings of you. He was starting to forget what your laugh sounded like. He was starting to forget the way your fingers would tap quietly against the nearest surface when you were stressed. The way your thighs would bounce up and down when you were anxious and overwhelmed. The way your eyes would move.
He could remember all the facts about you, things that didn’t require him to have visual or auditory memory. Your favorite flowers were roses, specifically red roses. You loved cooking, it was part of your love language. You were good with kids, and both kids and animals loved you. You weren’t shy about physical affection, even in public.
Your love language was ‘acts of service’. You always specified that it was your way of showing love, not your way of receiving love. When questioned about it, you revealed you loved receiving physical affection. So naturally, Satoru would constantly find an excuse to touch you. Holding hands when walking in public, a hand on your shoulder when he was talking to someone, and of course, he would always greet you with a hug. You accepted all his affection with a smile. God, he missed your smile. He missed the warmth of your body. He missed you.
—
He dropped a rose on your grave. There was a fresh crown of flowers on your gravestone, probably made by Tsumiki and left there by Megumi.
—
You always kept track of Megumi and Tsumiki’s old toys, and kept them in tiptop condition. Same with their clothes. You weren’t their parent, and they weren’t even your responsibility. They were Satoru’s responsibility. Yet you went out of your way to help him out anyways. Babysitting Tsumiki when Satoru would take Megumi on missions, or babysitting both of them when Satoru went on missions alone. Cleaning their rooms, folding their clothes, taking them out. You took care of them as if they were your own.
You took care of Satoru, too. Cooking for him, even though he was perfectly capable of cooking for himself. Cleaning his house when he was away on missions. Letting him lay in your lap when he had headaches, and gently playing with his hair to soothe him.
The love you two had for each other was so genuine and pure . You were kind and gentle, and Satoru had always thought you were the cutest person he’d ever met. You weren’t perfect, obviously. You had trouble managing your time, and would always try to get out of doing work when you didn’t feel like it. When you got angry, you would shut everyone out. But Satoru loved you nonetheless. He loved you, flaws and insecurities and all.
You loved him too. It was very obvious. You would run into his arms as soon as you saw him. You always smiled at him, never allowed yourself to say a single bad thing about him (nor did you allow others to). You would pull him down to pepper his face in kisses. You would plan all your dates ahead of time and make sure everything was to his liking.
Lots of other people loved you too, of course. Shoko loved how considerate you were, how you always spent time with her any way you could. Whether it was taking her for drinks, or simply sitting with her in the infirmary, you made sure she wasn’t spending all her time alone. Nanami loved how you were kind but still firm. You would spoil everyone to death, but it didn’t stop you from scolding them. You even scolded Nanami sometimes. Suguru- before he left- loved how you could always smile. No matter how pained or upset you were, you were still able to muster up a smile.
You loved, and were loved. By your friends, your students, by Satoru .
Yet you went and died. How could it be fair? How could your light be extinguished so easily?
—
You texted the group chat when you had received your mission. “Have any of you been to Yamanashi? I’ve got work there..” Nanami had been the first to reply. “Not yet. Only to nearby cities, and they were dangerous. Be careful.”
You merely replied with a thumbs up emoji. It was the last message you ever sent in the groupchat.
Your last ever text message was an “I love you” that you had sent to Satoru. He knew this because your phone had remained whole and intact, with only the screen protector having cracks on it. He replaced the screen protector, thus restoring your phone. He would frequently unlock your phone, only to look at your gallery.
You had many pictures of Megumi and Tsumiki. In fact, you had more pictures of the students than anyone else. You had maybe 10 group photos with your friends, all of which were sent to you by them. You pretty much never took pictures, but clearly made an exception for the kids.
You had a few selfies, a few racy pictures, none of which you ever posted.
It was an odd feeling, to look at your gallery and know that it would never have any new additions to it ever again.
Your death wasn’t an easy one, of course. Suguru’s death was as painless as Satoru could make it; a small hollow purple aimed right at his heart. But yours? Your body was taken apart by the special grade curse that you had the misfortune of encountering. Satoru was used to seeing bodies that were nothing but a pile of organs, nothing but bits of flesh. But he couldn’t even bear the thought of you dying like that. He was forbidden from retrieving your body, the task instead being given to Zenin Naobito. What he wasn’t forbidden from, however, was hunting down every single curse in the Yamanashi precinct.
It wasn’t an easy task. Yamanashi had more curses- especially high level curses- than anywhere else. The strength of curses was no problem to Satoru, but the number of them most certainly was. It wasn’t like he could just hollow purple the entire precinct. He had to hunt the curses down one by one.
Would it bring you back? Of course not. Would it get rid of the pain in his heart? Obviously, no. But he had to do something , he couldn’t just sit back idly doing nothing after you died .
—
“A rose? How romantic.” A voice remarked from behind him. Shoko had also come to pay her respects to you.
You didn’t have a shrine or altar, as your family never bothered with either. In fact, your funeral was arranged by none other than you . All arrangements made when you were in your early twenties. You had picked your grave and prepared the epitaph, and even chose which urn your ashes would rest in. It was utterly morbid. You had arranged for your ash-filled urn to be buried in the ground in place of a body. All sorcerers had to be cremated, after all.
Shoko wasn’t one for meaningless gestures. Yet she, too, brought a flower with her. A sweet pea; which means ‘departure’ or ‘good memories’ in flower language. The rose that he left had multiple meanings; generally speaking, leaving a rose on someone’s grave symbolizes their love and respect for you. But he had another reason, too. They were your favorite. You had always admired roses.
Two flowers rested on your grave now, along with the crown of white flowers on your gravestone. You never liked bouquets, saying that they were too grandiose and impersonal. You would have liked this, if you were here. You always found singular flowers more personal, always thought that flower crowns were more thoughtful.
It’s been a while since you.. ‘departed’. You never mentioned whether or not you’d want an altar, but perhaps it’s about time that Satoru made one for you. He crouched down, smoothing nonexistent dirt off your gravestone. “Do you think I should make an altar?” He asked quietly.
Shoko looked at him sadly, but before she could respond, another person did. “Yes.” It was Nanami. He had brought a small cluster of white and yellow daisies, 5 flowers knotted together. It made sense; daisies were often left on graves and altars.
“We ought to remember our friend. If none of us makes an altar, then who will?” Nanami wasn’t the emotional type, nor the sentimental type. But you were practically his closest friend. He was only on first-name basis with you , and no one else.
You didn’t have a lot of friends, but you were very close with the ones you did have. Your contacts list didn’t have many people on it. There weren’t many people at your funeral. Satoru still remembered it. It was horrible , and depressing.
—
Everyone was dressed in black. Nanami had to excuse himself for a few minutes, most likely to cry. Even Shoko couldn’t suppress her tears. Satoru’s eyes and throat burned with the need to let it all out , but he kept a straight face. All the students were here, even the students who left the school. The only people missing were your family.
Everyone there had written something for you. Your effect on the people around you was incredibly obvious: you were a positive force in everyone’s life.
After the funeral, once Satoru was finally alone, he broke down. You were gone . Really, truly gone .
—
Shoko’s fingers twitched as they lingered over her pocket. Rather than grabbing her pack of cigarettes like she most likely wanted to, her hands smoothed over her pockets and she spoke. “It’s been a year. It’s been too long. But.. I do think an altar would be good.”
So they were all in agreement.
Your altar was a group effort. It wasn’t simply something that Satoru would throw money at, it was something personal.
Once it was finally ready, it was immediately filled with offerings. Flowers, bowls of rice, cups of water. Satoru stood in front of your altar and got down on one knee. He had a very nontraditional offering.
“I love- loved you. I always have and always will. And before you died, I was planning on proposing.” He opened a small black velvet box that contained a beautiful ring in; a golden band encasing a moonstone gem. He looked at it sadly. He had picked yellow gold over white gold, since yellow gold looked better on you. And he picked moonstone because you loved his eyes, and said you wanted to stare at them forever. Around his neck was his own ring; white gold encasing a gem the color of your eyes. He loved your eyes, too. They were warm and mesmerizing. They pulled him in like a deep body of aerated water. He loved everything about you, really.
“I’m yours. And I’ll be yours forever. Until we meet again..” He trailed off. He closed the box and placed it on the altar, right in front of your portrait.
He knew he would die someday, and he hopes that when he dies he gets to see you again. You, like every other sorcerer, died too soon. He’ll spend the rest of his life loving you, and cherishing your memory.
Even when he forgets the sound of your laugh, even when he forgets what your voice sounded like. Even when he’s at his highest, and when he’s at his lowest. He’ll always love you.

Some oc art 🤤
Inukami have his own team (I'll call them 'Nami Team) and their members are lil creatures,,
Okamito is lazy as fuck. In fact, he doesn't want to be a shinobi; he's only there because his parents and clan urge him to be... but, wow, he's good at tracking targets; I mean, he works with Otamaru, who's a hound.
He's tired all the time and mostly falls asleep on missions (when his life and the lives of his teammates aren't in danger).
His sense of smell is more sensitive compared to other members of the clan, to the point that during his chuunin exam he was thrown a stink bomb that made his nose bleed because of how sensitive it is—
Mikoto is a refugee from Amegakure, her mother left the village in an attempt to find the betters conditions for herself and her daughter, she died in the attempt and Mikoto was taken in by Okamito's family.
She is a sweet and strong girl, she learned medical jutsu with a focus on the use of water ninpo (her specialty) to cure diseases, extract and neutralize poisons or stop bleeding.
She's has the ability to extract water from anything that can store water inside, objects, plants or people. Okamito thinks thats cool (and scary
Tsuyoari! My blind boy is immune to genjutsu, whether visual or auditory (Bcs his earphones can cancel out sounds around him if he wants)
Shy boy, he walks through life using vibrations and smells to know where he is or what is around him, just like ants do!
The funny thing is that Tsuyoari is the team leader (when Inu isn't around), he always stays calm, knows how to proceed, his ants are quite strong and wild (don't mess with them) and the best part, he is so kind and caring with Okamito and Mikoto.

Lab meeting doodle- been having some Thoughts about Eliksni faces ever since I realized that they don't have nostrils (oops) and I still haven't figured out what the two holes behind the eyes would be useful for. I was thinking that scent gland secretions starts off in a vasaline-like consistancy that then hardens to a more waxy substance to maintain carapace health, much in the same way that the preen gland in many birds keeps feathers waterproof and resistant to damage. The setae also help broadcast the scent to other Eliksni, giving a personal identification tag as well as transmitting information on sex, age, and general health. Humans can't pick up on the smell unless they're REALLY sniffing (or the individual hasn't had a proper scrubbing bath in forever), but to the Eliksni, it's as essential of an identification tool as faces or voices are to people
Behaviorally speaking, these secretions are usually spread across the face and neck by typical grooming gestures, such as swiping the hands over the face and running them through the crest. The scent glands behind the eyes are typically what is used for maintinance of the setae and facial carapace, while those at the end of the muzzle before the eyes are used for scentmarking close kin, friends, mates, and personal items (as the Eliksni nuzzle each other vs kiss). Nuzzling is a very intimate behavior, but it's a little more of a socially widespread gesture than human kissing because of the close-knit nature of Eliksni communities.
As expected, getting these waxy secretions on fabric SUCKS for cleaning, so many Eliksni use eggcloth for facial wrappings, as it's one of the few fabrics where that actually extends the lifespan of the fabric rather than gunks it up, similar to how human skin books actually benefit from being handled often because the oils from people's hands help maintain the leather.
Sensory bristles are more for facial expressions and auditory tracking than a visual aid like in mammals, but some similarities in bristle placement do overlap with whisker placement, like with Earth animals (at the end of the muzzle, over the eyes, etc). Eliksni auditory processing is a complex system that spans several parts of the body: facial bristles in conjunction with their bones and carapace having high vibrational sensitivity merely help them figure out where the sound is originating from, while the ear slits function pretty much as you'd expect them to.
Despite this, Eliksni hearing has a poorer overall range than those of humans, with the pitches they can hear the best being very low-frequency and very high-frequency sounds; everything else in between comes off as somewhat muddled or hard to pinpoint (the lack of subvocals in human language makes tone especially difficult for them). They're also worse at hearing fainter noises than we are. They more than make up for it in terms of having strong vision and a strong sense of smell, however, so don't think you can sneak up on one just because you're being quiet- if their rebreathers are off, they can smell you before they'll ever see you, and they can spot you in the dark with very little issue!
#destiny 2#destiny 2 headcanons#speculative biology#eliksni#eliksni headcanons#my doodles#i looove fuckin around with species that are scent-based#v. underutilized sense and thus v. easy to make a pov character come off as 'alien'#despite humans actually being pretty big on smells ourselves!

Hi there’s a tornado in my area rn but I’m spiteful like that. Random tsams/eaps headcanons be upon ye
Ruin still does those little audio log diaries. It helps manage his overflowing memory storage (read: old age = more memories to store) without compressing data files.
Bloodmoon sleeps with dog toys. Otherwise, they’d probably chew through whatever bedding material they had chosen that night. This was Ruin’s idea.
Eclipse can’t sleep with lights on in a room. Ruin can’t sleep without a light. The makeshift solution is a sleeping mask for Eclipse, but their actual compromise is a star projector.
Eclipse has to know where everyone is most of the time, especially after Charlie came into the picture. This is usually done with cameras and tracking via fazbear systems, but it’s an issue he has to work on, as it’s just a method to make him feel better about security now that there are people he cares about. At least one person has commented on there being a new nightguard.
Dark sun finds thrillers tacky, and prefers thought-provoking mysteries, bonus points for romance.
Most of them carry some kind of sanitizing wipe packet. For daycare attendants, these are for sticky messes and children. For those more familiar with tools, these are for tougher grime and are not suitable for sensitive (children’s) skin. Solar has both.
The eclipses (Eclipse, Solar, Ruin) are the most prone to damaging their rays. Eclipse sometimes hits doorways and doesn’t bother to fix cracked rays. Ruin is small enough for humans to reach his head. Solar peels the paint off of his. All three will pull or squeeze their rays in times of extreme stress, to varying degrees. Lunar is an exception for lack of rays. (Similarly, Sun fidgets with his rays, which is the source of this trait.)
While there are exceptions, Suns prefer tactile stimulation, Moons auditory, and Eclipses have no strong preference. Earth likes social interaction.
Animatronics have personalized UI that makes sense to them, which serves as their access point to their internal folders, like memory files, downloaded items, and executable programs. Bots that share an operating system/“brain have the same UI. Diagnostics, software updates, and safety modes all require additional hardware (computers, parts and service devices, fazwrenches) to complete. Mindscapes are in AI chips, and multiple AIs in one mindscape happen when multiple AIs share the same operating system. Visual feed can be projected onto other screens with HDMI cables and vice versa, which can sometimes show that bot’s UI depending on what it is. For a more direct example of this think of the battery and blue borders you see in Security breach when Gregory is hiding inside Freddy.
Safety mode disconnects that bot from the Fazbear Ent. local network, meaning no tracking, no communication via local networks (which generally aren’t private anyway, most bots with access to phones prefer those), and no access to files that aren’t stored in that bot’s drive. This is meant to isolate a bot’s systems from the main network in case of a security breach (hah), make transportation of bots between locations easier, and make maintenance a smoother affair as there is no outside interference during the process. For the bots themselves, this is the equivalent of turning off your phone and going outside I mean focusing only on what’s in front of you instead of what’s going on in your area/social network. It’s possible to be stuck in safety mode. Depending on how much of a bot’s system relies on Fazbear Ent. Networks to function (such as a bot’s memory being stored in a Cloud, which is also ill advised between the bots themselves,) this can be mean a temporary personality/memory reset until those files get reconnected again. Bots do not need to be connected to the Fazbear ent networks to function, but it generally makes access to software updates easier due to being recognized as a company entity. It is possible for a private network to exist, but it’s considered foreign by Fazbear systems and can be more trouble than they’re worth. Moon and Eclipse have private networks shared with close friends and family for different purposes. Moon’s is mostly for emergency backups, and Eclipse’s is for security.
Animatronic’s memories are stored in the hard drives in their bodies. It’s possible to offload memory files into networks (Cloud) or external storage systems. If another bot had access to these clouds or external storages, they could experience the memories stored in them. Memory files include visual and auditory data, like a movie. AI/personality chips are the equivalent of a soul in that the AI is the product of a learning AI having experienced environments that supplied them information about the world AKA an Ai that developed a personality beyond their base programming, but they do not carry memories. For example, Eclipse V3-V4 is an Eclipse AI given incomplete memories, creating a disconnect in the AI’s learned behaviors and what it perceives as the source of that behavior, resulting in an incomplete backup. Backups are static/unchanging copies of integral memory files and the accompanying AI (As is in the moment that they are backed up.) Backups need to be updated as the animatronic it’s for develops.
#go easy on me I only have basic knowledge of computer stuff#quirky headcanons#tsams#eaps#I’m also halfway through a sociology class so take the AI one with a grain of salt#hopefully this makes sense
